Sylvia Branzei (Author) Sylvia Branzei is the author of Grossology, Animal Grossology, Grossology Begins at Home, Hands-On Grossology, and Virtual Grossology. She is the originator of grossology, or the idea of teaching science through gross things. Before devoting her life to grossness, Sylvia was a science teacher at a remote school in Mendocino County, California. She has written articles for The Science Teacher, Science Scope, Partners in Education, and Creation Spirituality, as well as curriculum guides for NASA SETI and for the Department of Energy. Sylvia holds a BS degree in microbiology from the University of Michigan, and an MA degree in science education from California Polytechnic University. Jack Keely (Illustrator) As an illustrator in both New York and Los Angeles, Jack Keely's projects have included over thirty books for kids. The characters he created for the bestselling Grossology series have come to life in an animated film and in a video game, and as robotic performers in the record breaking international Grossology museum exhibitions. Jack is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (BFA) and Cranbrook Academy of Art (MFA) and has taught illustration and graphic design at several universities.
