Author Bio

Jamila Gavin was born in India, in the foothills of the Himalayas and moved to England as a child. She is one of Britains most acclaimed childrens authors having won the Whitbread Childrens Book Awards and the Guardian Childrens Fiction Prize. Her novel Coram Boy was staged at the National Theatre.
David Parkins is a renowned illustrator and cartoonist who has worked on The Beano and The Dandy, and has illustrated over 50 books.
