Author Bio

Dan R. Lynch grew up in a rock shop where he learned how to identify rocks, minerals, and fossils from a young age. Since then, hes written over 20 books about rock and mineral identification, with a special focus on agates from his home region of northern Minnesota and Lake Superior. He has always loved the natural world, especially all of its wonderful little details that most people dont pay any attention to and the amazing science behind them. With his childrens books, he hopes to spark young readers curiosities in both the rocks beneath their feet and the ones beyond the horizon. Dan currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife, Julie, and their cat, Daisy.
