Lisa Williams writes poems and short stories, but most of all loves to write and speak about history. She grew up in Dorset, lived in the sunny Caribbean, and now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland with her son and their fluffy black and white cat, Ellie. She is an Honorary Fellow in the School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh and a PhD candidate at the University of St Andrews. She works with teachers and pupils across Scotland to explore some of the lesser known areas of British history.
