Reviews

These comic booklike versions depict the old Greek tales of magical creatures and superhuman men interacting with the gods, briefly sketched in small narrative blocks and energetic, dark-toned graphic scenes.-- "School Library Journal"
This is a good introductory series for those ready for more complexity and darkness in their mythology. Caption bubbles are used to provide additional information about myths, geography, and specific characters.-- "School Library Connection"

Author Bio

Haus Estudio is a group of colleagues and friends who started as young self-publishers back in 1997 in Argentina. Their works have been published in USA, UK, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, and South America. Haus Estudio runs its own school of art and, as a group, organized the biggest Latin American comic-book convention, among many other shows and exhibitions. The group also travels around the country and abroad attending conventions and giving lectures. Haus Estudio is a multi-style arts studio, specializing in comics and illustration. Its offices are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but the group works for various companies, publishers, and writers around the world. cz Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where he wrote stories about robots conquering the moon and trolls lumbering around the woods behind his parents house. He now lives in Minnesota and enjoys writing about fun things like history, space aliens, and superheroes. Blake has written more than fifty chapter books and dozens of graphic novels for children.
