Find out that dinosaurs were also show-offs displaying colourful feathers, impressive crests and frills. For budding palaeontologists aged 5 and up, this series will explore all things dinosaur: from fossil finds and coprolites (that's poo) to exploring the mind-boggling stats of these huge reptiles. But let's not forget the science too, as we'll be learning about dinosaur biology, motion, evolution, classification, among other things along the way. Humorous illustrations and speech bubbles will take this exciting topic to the next level!Dave Hone (Author)
Dr Dave Hone is a palaeontologist working primarily on dinosaur behaviour and ecology. He has named new species, looked at locomotion and evolutionary patterns and he also researches some other ancient reptile groups, especially pterosaurs. He is a senior lecturer in zoology at Queen Mary University of London in the UK and have been studying and teaching about biology his whole adult life. In addition to writing books he hosts a podcast, Terrible Lizards. He maintains several blogs including Lost Worlds Revisited on The Guardian. He has also been a consultant for various TV shows and regularly give public talks on his research.Dave Smith (Illustrator) Dave Smith is an illustrator (or "Professional Doodler" to his friends) and enjoys drawing things that make him, and other people, laugh. He also plays the drums, strums a guitar (pretty badly), and has an unhealthy enthusiasm for elderly German campervans. When colouring-in he never goes over the lines. Well, almost never... He lives and works in Devon, with his two children and a nutty Spaniel.
