Description

Record high temperatures that are broken and reset three times in one week. Endless heat waves that happen year-round, regardless of season. Heat so intense it spawns raging wildfires. Our planet is getting hotter and hotter. What is behind Earth's rising temperatures, what toll are they taking on living things, and what can be done about them Packed with information, dynamic photos, and hands-on activities, this book helps students understand why Earth's temperatures are rising, how governments and industries around the globe are working to combat the problem, and what each one of us can do to help keep our planet from reaching its boiling point.
