Description

'From Invercargill to the far north, there are cats on the tools in every corner of the country. In this book, we're going on a road trip to meet just some of the hard-working cats of Aotearoa New Zealand, starting in the deep south and scooting all the way up - a bit like a cat scaling a Christmas tree.'

Humorous profiles of 45 real-life pets from around New Zealand and the many jobs they have in their community: from winery cats to artists' muse, four police cats bringing law and paw-der to our fair country, a seeing-eye cat and a supermarket helper welcoming locals and tourists alike in Queenstown, these fluffy felines are here to bust the myths that cats are lazy creatures.

Author Bio

Leanne McGregor studied psychology and dabbled in teaching and finance before finding her home in the publishing industry. She is the managing editor at Allen & Unwin Aotearoa New Zealand, where she helps shepherd books of many colours out into the world. As well as cats, she loves books (of course), potato chips, dance moves (not her own) and humans with kind hearts. Cats with Jobs is her first book
