Description

In "Two Friends, One Gift," beloved characters Shoo Shoo, the little tree squirrel, and Teakettle, the tiny wren, reunite for a heartwarming holiday adventure. With the festive season upon them, Shoo Shoo and Teakettle eagerly dive into decorating their surroundings. Their determination shines as they tackle the challenge of adorning their tree with an ornament that seems just out of reach.

However, their peaceful nap is interrupted by the arrival of a car in the nearby driveway. Their curiosity piqued, they investigate and find that Jack and Lucy, the children who live nearby, have received a mysterious package. Inspired by the joy of gift-giving during the holidays, Shoo Shoo and Teakettle decide to exchange special gifts to celebrate their friendship.

What follows is an unexpected and heartwarming journey that unveils the true significance of both giving and receiving gifts, all while celebrating the power of friendship.

This book is a heartfelt dedication to Caroline, a special gift in the author's life, and to Sister Catherine, whose life is a testament to the art of giving.

Author Bio

Jacqueline E. Hartman, writing under this pseudonym, presents her second book chronicling the adventures of Shoo Shoo the squirrel and Teakettle the wren. Her career began as an illustrator for the Department of the Army after graduating from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She furthered her education, obtaining a Master's Degree in Industrial Arts and teaching endorsements from Rowan University, leading her into the field of education. After dedicating 36 years to teaching, Jacqueline embraced her passion for drawing and painting, which had been kindled during her tenure with the Army. During the pandemic, her focus shifted to illustrating the flora and fauna of her husband's award-winning garden, inspiring her to create children's books centered around the themes of nature and symbiosis. Together with her husband, John, Jacqueline enjoys the pleasures of travel and dance whenever the opportunity arises.

Jacqueline dedicates this book to Caroline, her cherished gift, and to Sister Catherine, a paragon of selfless giving.
