Description

Learn how a plum tree changes with the seasons in this charming non-fiction picture book, beautifully illustrated by Charlotte Voake. Chris Butterworth's gentle, lyrical text describes how the buds of the plum tree bloom in the spring and how its leaves grow green and lush in the summer. Time goes by, and soon we see those same leaves fall in the autumn now the branches are bare for the cold winter-months. With exquisite watercolour illustrations by Charlotte Voake, this is a book to treasure.

Reviews

Scott Magoons colourful digital illustrations are pitch-perfect here: detailed enough to convey a sense of reality, yet softened and stylized in a way that will make the emotional intensity bearable for children ages 5 to 9. -- Timothy Knapman * The Wall Street Journal *
Its a really lovely way of learning so much more about trees (and if you know us, youll know we LOVE trees!), and the book just feels so beautifully delicate, it is definitely one that will grace our bookshelf for years to come. * Rebel Tribe *
