Meet Axl, a curious little Axolotl with a big imagination and even bigger questions! In this heartwarming and educational 24-page picture book, readers join Axl as he asks his mommy all about what makes him so unique. Through their playful and loving conversations, children will learn fun facts about Axolotls, what they are, why they're so special, and just how adorable they can be. At its core, this story is a gentle reminder to young readers that it's okay to ask questions, to be curious, and to explore what makes each of us one-of-a-kind.
Sean Slevin is a first-time creative storyteller, born to two Irish immigrants and raised as one of five loud, energetic brothers (his poor mother). Now a proud father of four and husband to his endlessly patient wife, Julie, Sean's love for storytelling began during bedtime routines-where he couldn't help but rewrite the books he read to his kids, usually with extra jokes, talking animals, or ridiculous plot twists.
Over the years, Sean realized that his kids don't just listen to stories-they live in them. And as they grow up (way too fast), the questions only get bigger. This book is his way of capturing the joy, chaos, and magic of being a dad-while honoring all the silly, sweet, and at times exhausting moments that come with it. He knows the day will come when his kids won't ask him a million questions... and he's going to miss those moments.
