Claire McElfatrick is a freelance artist. Her beautiful hand-drawn and collaged illustrations are inspired by her home in rural Enland. Claire has illustrated all the other books in this series- The Magic and Mystery of Trees, The Book of Brilliant Bugs, Earth's Incredible Oceans, The Extraordinary world of Birds, The Frozen Worlds, and Prehistoric Worlds. Shoshana Z. Weider is the Planetary Science Division (PSD) Executive Officer and a Program Officer in PSD at NASA Headquarters. Before coming to NASA Headquarters in 2018, Shoshana spent several years as a science writer and editor. Passionate about science outreach, Shoshana often conducts school talks and is the author of multiple space-themed children's books published by DK Children's. When not thinking about space, you will likely find Shoshana with her head in a book or enjoying an evening at the theatre or symphony.
