Born in Sudan, Hamza moved to UK when he was young and settled in Scotland following the completion of his Masters Degree. He made his first television appearance on The One Show, and went on to become Ranger Hamza for CBeebies live action show Let's Go for a Walk. Since then, Hamza has appeared on The One Show, Countryfile and is a presenter on the BBC's Animal Park. He has also presented his own Channel 4 documentaries, Scotland: My Life in the Wild and Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness and in September 2023 he presented his own BBC One Primetime TV programme Hamza Strictly: Birds of Prey.
