Description

After two duck families decided to nest in Lindy's garden, Lindy was horrified to find that when one of the mother ducks left the nest with her babies, she had left behind an egg that was still hatching. Lindy's plan was to rescue the abandoned duckling and then put it back with its mom. But that didn't work out as planned: the duckling had imprinted on Lindy and thought she was its mom! Lindy Rice is a former teacher and lifelong animal lover. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from U.C. Davis. Ever since she received pet ducklings for Easter as a child, ducks and chickens have been part of her family. She has spent many years observing and studying about ducks. Raising Dino was one of her most unusual experiences.
