Born in Bangladesh, raised in Newcastle and currently residing in the outskirts of Manchester, Burhana Islam is an English teacher and storyteller. The illustrators are- Reya Ahmed, a visual artist from Calcutta; New York born illustrator Deema Alawa; Tamil American freelance illustrator Nabi H Ali; Saffa Khan, illustrator and owner of a community press, Tender Hands; Under My Hijab illustrator Aaliya Jaleel; and London based illustrator Aghnia Mardiyah
