Author Bio

Aboriginal visual artists Emma Bamblett (Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Ngadjonji and Taungurung) and Megan Van Den Berg (Dja Dja Wurrung, Yorta Yorta and Boon Wurrung) have a history of collaboration on design/arts-based projects. Together they are Kinya Lerrk (Wemba Wemba for 'women coming together'), a collaboration that focuses on using design and art to make homes and offices come alive with colourful designs that celebrate Aboriginal culture and respectfully acknowledge Traditional Owners of land. Their clients have included Village Cinemas, Red Cross, BMW, Fun Lab (Strike & Holey Moley), AAT Kings, Ambulance Victoria, Department of Families, Fairness & Housing, Toyota and Australian Federal Police. Kinya Lerrk & Co. is their physical and online retail store in Preston, Victoria.
