Description

Construction work is hands-on fun! "Girls Who Build" introduces young readers to the world of construction, inspired by the real women who do the work every day. Each page features a specific construction job and a strong female character who isn't afraid of a little hard work. From Lucy the Laborer to Winnie the Welder, learn what it takes to build our homes and cities from this inspiring group of girls. This picture book challenges gender norms, celebrates diversity, and shows readers that girls can do anything including construction work.

This book is ideal for parents and educators looking for stories that introduce young girls to nontraditional career paths, stories that feature strong women, stories that portray diversity, stories that build confidence and self esteem for children, and stories that prove girls can do anything!
