Mary Foster grew up in rural western Montana near scenic Flathead Lake, riding horses, running the hills, and constantly having adventures with her two brothers. She gained a deep appreciation for the value of education and consequently became an elementary teacher and taught for 28 years. Mary has loved to write since she was 10 years old. She is currently retired and living in Bozeman, Montana with her husband, Mike. They have one daughter, two sons, and three grandsons. Mary spends her time writing, researching genealogy, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
