"Good Earth Stewards" tells the story of a village nestled in a mountain valley, where the towns-folk gather to celebrate the beauty of a central garden. After the elderly couple who owned the garden pass away, the new owner builds a tall fence, blocking out the view and denying access to others. However, he soon realizes that isolating himself leaves him lonely. Eventually, he emerges from his self imposed fortress and reconnects with the community
Marlene Stewart a fourth generation Stewart from the Pacific Northwest. Her mother and grandfather told her she owned Mount Rainier and she believed them. She was the last child born of Suzanne and Clayton Stewart. Four siblings Linett, Vicky, Douglas and Rose. All of whom are "Good Earth Stewards''. She has always felt a pull to earth and flowers and water. A vegetable garden has been included in most of her yards. Nature has a beauty which is unparalleled, never needing a filter. Married young and has three grown children she adores. Her first career path was a sign painter and muralist, which she did with her artist mother. One of her first murals was Ivan the Gorilla's cage at the World Famous B & I Store. Her first published book is a culmination of four years of dating after her divorce. Called "Date Lines". The poems seemed to present themselves spontaneously, almost emerging too fast to write down. This second book she, once again, worked on with her artist mother. The themes in this children's book are of hope and compassion and sharing and togetherness. It gives her great joy to spread these beliefs with you, in hopes you share them with all the children in your lives.
