Jane Faulkner is a literature librarian at the University of California, Santa Barbara and received a masters degree at UCLA with an emphasis in children's literature. As a child she spent years at school in England and France, and she has traveled extensively across the world with family, friends, and on solo adventure trips, but at heart she is a Californian.
Jane isalwayseager to learn about local history and culture, and after moving to Solvang in 2017 she decided to create a fun, practical, easy way to introduce children and visitors to the town's fascinating and diverse history. "S is for Solvang: an ABC" is for all of us who love reading to children but who secretly wish to be learning a thing or two as we read.
A former competitive cyclist, today Jane enjoys exploring and pedaling around the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with her husband Kim.
