Her background in content development, teaching and working for a fire department are what make the Gilby the Gecko character credible, fun and interesting! She hopes that all readers are able to connect with Gilby on his many adventures. Perry Art Reed is the co-author and illustrator of the Gilby the Gecko series. He believes children's literature is something special and is thrilled for children and adult alike to be transported into Gilby's world.

Perry enjoys studying the psychology of how people interact with media and technology, and looking for ways to leverage media and technology for social good.
