The Royal Institution is a leading independent charity dedicated to connecting as many people as possible with the world of science. It was founded in 1799 and has an international reach, working with world-leading scientists. This book's author, Peter Gallivan currently works at King's College London. Prior to this, he was the RI's Family Programme Manager, organising a diverse range of hands-on STEM-focused activities for families and young people, and proving his passion for sharing his science knowledge. The book's illustrator, Robbie Cathro, lives in Bristol, UK. He loves to make fun, colourful, and charismatic work, and hopes to create playful compositions that translate the mood and atmosphere of the work he's illustrating.
