What hatches out of frogspawn Do reptiles lay eggs What kind of baby animal drinks milk 'Investigate' encourages science enquiry with an interactive, investigative, and visual approach to a wide range of core curriculum topics. The format allows students to use scientific processes such as prediction, hypothesis, and inference in answering a series of questions on important topics throughout the book.
Focus questions challenge the reader to hypothesize an answer before reading the facts about each of the topics in the series. The questions are identified by a large Q and the answers by a large A. Colored photographs, cutaway graphics, diagrams and maps are used throughout the series to illustrate the different concepts. Books in the series include: Animal Characteristics, Animal Needs, Earth's Resources, Electricity, Life Cycles, Magnets, Plants, Push & Pull, Rocks & Soil, Senses, Sound, Sunlight, Teeth, Water, and Weather & Seasons. Suggested grade level of K-2, but can be used in the early childhood schools for science instruction.
