While these had a fun story and lots of information, they really were more appropriate for grades K-3, as the publisher suggests. Each figure has a distinct personality, so the give-and-take is as entertaining as the art. . . .Young readers will get to gander at three types of rocks with dinosaur Rudie, learn about soil components with dog Kitanai, get an overview of plant parts with bee Charlie, and glimpse at some of the technological uses of magnets with robot MAG-3000. Author Bio

A Sunshine State native, Jamey Christoph studied illustration at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. His stylish illustrations appear regularly in major newspapers and magazines and have received multiple recognitions from the Society of Illustrators and Communication Arts. Thomas Kingsley Troupe is the author of a big ol' pile of books for kids. He's written about everything from ghosts to Bigfoot to 3rd grade werewolves. He even wrote a book about dirt. When he's not writing or reading, he investigates the strange and spooky as part of the Twin Cities Paranormal Society. Thomas lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with his two sons.
