He obtained a BSc with Honours in Physics from Acadia University, Canada and a PhD in Nuclear and Plasma Physics from the University of Strathclyde, UK. Matthew is serious about science, computer programming, and the environment, and less serious about Lindy Hop dancing, playing acoustic guitar, and yoga.
