Join Lioness Leah Williamson, Arsenal and England women's football player, as she shows girls that they can be a leader at any age, and that huge things can happen when they believe in themselves! This edition features a bonus new chapter, where Leah talks about her injury, missing the World Cup, resilience and the importance of self-belief. In the summer of 2022 Leah led the Lionesses to victory in the European Championships - now she wants to show kids that they can achieve anything they put your mind to, both on and off the pitch, no matter what other people say. This positive guide for life will inspire young girls to lead like a pro, and motivate them to do what they love. Written with football writer Suzanne Wrack, You Have the Power is filled with stories from Leah's own life and tons of brilliant advice, to show children and teens how to find their strength and empower them to follow their dreams.
Leah Williamson plays as a defender for Arsenal and captained the Lionesses to victory in the UEFA Women's Euro 2022. As the first captain in the men's or women's senior teams to lead England to a European victory, Leah is uniquely positioned to motivate and inspire younger generations, and her first book, You Have the Power, is her empowering guide for children. Suzanne Wrack is a women's football writer for The Guardian, who has previously worked for BBC Sport, The Sunday Times and Trinity Mirror (now Reach PLC). She is passionate about sport and enjoys exploring the politics of sport, and has an interest in fan-owned football clubs and issues around discrimination in sport. Suzanne is on the expert panel which helps determine the Women's Super League player of the month and is on the selection panel for the Women's Super League Hall of Fame. She has a chapter included in Football, She Wrote, an anthology of women's football writers published in September 2021 on Chelsea manager Emma Hayes and is the author of A Woman's Game - The rise, fall and rise again of women's football and Strong Women. She is the co-writer of Lioness captain Leah Williamson's debut book, You Have the Power, an empowering guide for children.
