Elizabeth Raum has written over two-dozen nonfiction books for young readers, including a biography of Louis Armstrong for Capstone Press. Over the years, she has worked as a middle school and high school English teacher, an elementary school librarian, and a college library director. Elizabeth Raum has written many nonfiction books for children. Two of her Capstone You Choose books, Orphan Trains: An Interactive History Adventure (2011) and Can You Survive Storm Chasing (2012), are Junior Library Guild selections. Elizabeth lives in Michigan with her husband, Richard. Amie Jane Leavitt is an accomplished author and photographer who loves to travel the globe in search of interesting story ideas and beautiful places to capture in photos. Amie has written nearly 50 books for children. She graduated from Brigham Young University as an education major and has since taught all subjects and grade levels in both private and public schools. She also has contributed to online and print media, and has worked as a consultant, writer, and editor for numerous educational publishing and assessment companies. Lisa M. Bolt Simons has published more than 50 nonfiction children's books, as well as four middle grade choose your path novels and an adult history book. She's twice received an Honorable Mention for the McKnight Artist Fellowship for Writers in Children's Literature. She's also received a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant and other accolades for her writing. Lisa is a proud mom to her science- and math-minded twin daughter and son. Originally from Colorado, Lisa lives in Southern Minnesota with her husband, who also loves to read.
