One common question adults ask children is, "What do you want to be when you grow up" The stories within this book are answers to that timeless question from children of a diversity of genders, ethnicities, and physical capabilities. Everyone can be ambitious about what they want to become in their future. Using colorful pictures and a rhythmic cadence, the book makes for an inspiring and delightful read.
"Last Night I Dreamed" encourages children to 'dream big' and envision what they might choose for their future profession. An inclusive read, the book inspires children of all genders, ethnicities, and physical capabilities.
Melodie has been filled with ideas for a series of children's books based on diversity, acceptance, and inspiration for quite some time and finally brings those ideas to life. With the technical support of her mother, a former kindergarten teacher for 35 years, she feels it is extremely important to inspire young children to live out their dreams. Melodie has lived in Florida for most of her life but originally lived in Wisconsin. She loves animals, art, books, and classic old movies. You can usually find her determinedly writing notes or researching subjects on the computer.
