Willow has a quirky style and she gets teased when she comes to school with a pair of special shoes that are to correct her legs and help them grow strait and strong. In time she realizes that they are pretty cool after all. She grows out of them and passes them along to another girl to be authentic and funky too.

Author Bio

Valen Hart decided to write The Girl with the Green shoes based on her life experience. Growing up with 4 siblings new shoes were not something that came often .At the age of 5 she needed a special pair to help her legs grow straight and strong. Willow wasn't fond of them at first. Ever kid wants to fit in and children aren't always used to being different.
It turned out she ended up walking the runway in some of the most beautiful shoes ever made. She is grateful for the green shoes to this day. It goes to show you if you believe in you light even when it feels the dimmest eventually it shines through.
