Experiencing the loss of a parent is extremely challenging at any age. As a child, it can be overwhelming and difficult to understand how to move on from grief without losing connection with loved ones who have passed on. In this beautifully illustrated and touching story, a young girl, Anne, learns how to deal with loss and grief after her mother dies from cancer. She is left believing that a magic phone booth, a symbolic charm given to her by her mum, will allow her to stay in contact in the future. This book shows us how to move forward toward a meaningful life, while still sharing joys and sorrows with those we have lost.
Tracy Baker is Anne Bower's daughter. Like her mother, she was drawn to work in healthcare and has been a physical therapist for over thirty years. The original phone booth figurine that inspired this story sits at her bedside. This small charm has helped her to heal and move forward after her mother passed away from cancer in 2019. Tracy is currently living and working in northern Virginia with her husband.
