Meet Gus, a lovable dog with a big heart and an important story to share. When Gus's favorite human, Bertie, becomes very sick and passes away, Gus and his family face something new: grief. In this beautifully illustrated and tender story, Gus learns what grief feels like and how to navigate the big emotions that come with missing someone you love.
Through relatable experiences-like feeling sleepy, angry, or even happy while remembering Bertie-Gus gently guides readers through the complexities of loss. He reminds us that it's okay to cry, rest, celebrate memories, and share our feelings with loved ones.
This heartwarming book invites children and families to explore their own feelings of grief, offering comfort and understanding in a way only Gus can. With engaging questions at the end, like "What color does your grief feel like" and "How does it feel in your body", readers are encouraged to reflect and connect.
Love, Gus is perfect for:
Families coping with the loss of a loved one.
Helping children understand and express emotions.
Starting conversations about grief in a gentle, accessible way.
Join Gus on this heartfelt journey and discover that even in loss, love remains. And if you ever need a friend, Gus is just a letter away.
