The Happy Book is a playful, warm and inviting activity picture book to encourage children to pay attention to their moods, and learn to express their thoughts and feelings rather than hide them away. Top tips help young children to identify their emotions, while mini science sections explain simply what happens in their brain and body.
Alex Allan has worked in children's publishing for twenty years, lives in London and has three children. Anne Wilson decided one day that telling a story through pictures was something she'd quite like to do for a job. Taking inspiration from natural forms, patterns and colours, Anne studied art, receiving an MA in Illustration from Central Saint Martins. In 2011 she won the Serco Prize for Illustration. Her clients include Lonely Planet Kids, Quarto, and Save the Children, among others.
