A relaxing book to encourage a moment of calm.
Life can be bustly, busy and full of things to do. Sometimes we all need some time to switch off, breathe and unwind. This write-in book is full of activities that allow space for a quiet, relaxing moment - from doodling and writing stories to stretching and night-time sleep tips. With a gentle owl character to guide you through, and links to music to help you feel calm.
Alice James joined Usborne after working in primary schools for a while. She absolutely loves science, and over the years has lived with chimps, spent a month in the rainforest, studied Biology at Oxford University, and grown 200 carnivorous plants (not necessarily in that order). Whilst at Usborne Alice has worked on books on all kinds of science topics, from space to energy to the periodic table. Lara has been learning how to grow a book since 2016, following a degree in English and Italian at Oxford and teaching jobs in Italy and Myanmar. From explaining how economics works, to inventing boredom-busting activities, to telling a good dragon yarn, she's enjoyed every minute of the job. Darran spent a decade as children's bookseller in Durham. He studied crime scene and forensic science at university. It's handier than you'd expect. He collects useless facts, and writes about lots of subjects - especially science. He is passionate about stories, music, and will talk about octopuses at great length.
