Hannah goes for a walk with her dog Pippin. Along the way, the little girl comes across people who act strangely. Everyone is distracted with their phones and doesn't pay attention to the wonders the city has to offer. Beautifully illustrated by the award-winning illustrator Concha Pasamar, who depicts people addicted to the phone as grey, blurry characters. This book explores the issue of phone addiction, disconnection from nature, isolation from others. A young brave girl will try to awaken everybody from the spell they seem to be in and remind them of the importance of looking up and being present. Printed on Stone Paper Award-winning author (International Latino Book Awards (EEUU, 2018) Author mentioned on The Best Children's Picture Books of the Year in Spanish Books of the Year (2019) for The BizziesReading age: 4-8 years old.
Once again Concha Pasamar transforms Merlns text, with whom she already coincided in La cometa de los sueos, into a succession of realistic images of profound beauty, an invitation to discover the beauty of the "little things" that the world has to offer and to leave aside the excessive dependence on technology. Subtle criticism through a sweet and sensitive vision that will appeal to readers of any age. Canal Lector
