Riley, he's a preteen who was diagnosed with ADHD and high-functioning Autism. He struggles growing up, trying to live up to everyone's expectations of him being 'normal'. But when he meets Mia, a 17-year-old who dreams of being a hairdresser and does unspeakable things for money, his world gets turned upside down. He finds it hard to live with a mother who wants the best for him, and a father who couldn't care less about him. Will Riley and Mia's unique unexpected bond help them resolve their issues, or will it create more as forces beyond their control threaten to pull them apart
Born and raised in Victoria, Australia, Connor Hamilton had always enjoyed writing stories growing up, being the very creative type. While also growing up with high-functioning-Autism, Connor found his friendships lasting only as long as his attention span. Moving houses, schools and his life around more times than he could count, Connor wouldn't find himself at a stable point in his life until the age of 17. A few years later, after achieving things he thought impossible for someone like him, he thought to start writing somewhat professionally. The achievements included his Guinness World Record, his admittance into University, even his 14 day trip to Japan! Connor had his idea for his first book for years before he finally sat down and typed it all out. For many months, Ideas just kept compiling, wasting away on a PowerPoint on his computer, begging to be put to use. When on holiday break, Connor decided to get it done before Uni took all the free time he would have left. Of course Connor isn't expecting his writing to be the next Shakespeare, or anything of the sorts. Connor Hamilton grew up always believing, that when you make something, all that matters, is that it's yours and yours alone. His real dreams reside in Game Design, however he can't help but expand his horizons and try new things like writing. His dedication to being the best 'him' he can be is what makes him all the more special. To his family, his friends, and himself.
