Reviews

"There are humorous poems, thought-provoking poems, silly poemsso much to love! Packed with fun illustrations by Ed Boxall, this is an essential collection for home - school - everywhere!

Some of the poems are accompanied by notes, offering additional explanation or information to help the reader understand them... So many of these poems would make brilliant models for children to create their own and encourage a love of word play and experimentation."

* School Reading List *

"Such a great book full of poems that are sometimes catchy, sometimes scary but always fun."

-- Sue Martin * The Book Monitor *

"The poems beg to be performed, or read aloud at the very least; there is a rhythm and unexpected rhyme that make them both pleasing to recite, and to listen to...

Aimed primarily at junior children, this collection is accessible to those who find longer texts a challenge, those who dont like poetry and also those children who have developed a grasp of word play they will appreciate the little notes of playful language-use that are sprinkled through this collection.

Ed Boxalls quirky, fun black and white line drawings complement perfectly Brians poems.... A book to be read and re-read. Enjoy!"

* Just Imagine *

"This is a delightful collection of poems by the unstoppable Brian Moses... Words weave their way around ideas, bumping into interesting internal rhymes and all manner of metaphor and alliteration. Each poem is a jumping off point inviting the reader to learn more. Teachers will love the way it opens so many doors into a myriad of subjects to be explored. This is not your usual book about school and friends and family. Its about thinking and about ideas. And its intelligently illustrated by Ed Boxall."

-- Roger Stevens * Poetry Zone *
