Description

Nothing is what it seems in this years Early Harvest anthology ...
This collection features double-cross plotlines, diabolical survival scenarios, and the very best stories dreamed up by young authors for an audience of their peers.

Fifteen young editors, mentored by childrens author Rhiannon Williams and publishing industry professionals, have assembled a collection of betrayal and survival fiction over a yearlong writing project.
The collection includes fifteen intrepid tales and poems written by young Australian writers between the ages of 8 and 12, alongside a story by bestselling author Alice Pung.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Two-Faced Tales is the lucky thirteenth book created through 100 Story Buildings Early Harvest youth publishing program. In this program, a panel of young editors, ages 11 and 12, are assembled every year to select the books theme, commission the artwork, curate the collection and make all the creative decisions involved in putting the book together, making it Australia's ONLY publication edited and written by kids for kids.

Author Bio

100 Story Building books are edited by energetic and diverse panel of young people, drawn from eight schools across Melbourne who participate in 100 Story Buildings annual Early Harvest publishing program. Each year, the editors at 100 Story Building create Australias only fiction book that is written and edited by kids for kids. All stories, poems, and other content in the book have been carefully selected by 11- and 12-year-olds, who curate the collection based on the interests and sensibilities of their age group.

Over 12 intensive weeks, the young editors draft fun extra features, pore over hundreds of submissions, edit stories, create illustration briefs, brainstorm content and make a million difficult decisions to produce a book that showcases the creative work of their peers.

100 Story Building is Victorias home of storymaking and creative discovery for children and young people. Our imagination-driven literacy programs empower children to take creative risks, embrace mistakes, follow their passions and experience the joy of expression.
