Pursuit of the Presidency is a fascinating and highly readable examination of the election process. Author Christine Black uses the backdrop of the 1992 election and draws on her 20 years experience as a political reporter to fashion a valuable research work for both students and interested laypeople. The author's lively writing style-enhanced by many unique photographs and political cartoons-provides an insider's look at how the last election differed from previous elections.
A fine guide to the inner mechanism of a political campaign, relating the presidential campaign to the business of governing and providing a strong road map not only to the 1992 election, but the process as a whole.-The Bookwatch
