Play on Bill is a series of plays written for classroom and school performance, based on the plays of William Shakespeare. Each play is essentially about a school performance of the Shakespeare play, with interactions between the actors in the school play, the backstage crew, the staff, and the roles in Shakespeare's plays. Each play has a large cast and can effectively involve the whole class. The latest in the series is Tempest, Anyone The Principal of St Edgar's thinks it is time 'to do another Shakespeare.' The Head English teacher suggests The Tempest, as she is currently studying it with 11E, a class she refers to as a bunch of 'reluctant academics.' She thinks it might help them with their studies. The parents would like a musical. A group of female students approaches Ms Stynes, the designated Director, and tell her that they have been working hard on some song and dance routines for the Rock Eisteddfod, which has now been cancelled. Could she include their work in the school play They wear top hats and leotards. Three mothers all want their daughters to play the part of Ariel. There is much gossip and argument in the car park over this. The Principal states that there is no money for the production. Ms Stynes wants to keep her job. Welcome to Tempest, Anyone
