Description

This politically charged play about the ad men behind Lyndon B. Johnson's 1964 presidential campaign shows how American politics changed during the 1960s. The "daisy ad" aired only once, but its presence is still evident in political campaigns today.

Sean Devine is artistic director of Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Theatre in Vancouver.

Reviews

Included as a Hot Off the Press title by the Children's Book Council
"A lovely affirmation that there is value in wisdom as well as in vigor." ~ Kirkus Reviews
"The full-bleed illustrations are realistic with a touch of whimsy, colorful, and vibrant, adding further dimension to the story. The message of the value of experience and the wisdom acquired through time is gently delivered. (...) VERDICT Recommended for most picture book collections for one-on-one or small group sharing.Lucia Acosta, Childrens Literature Specialist, Princeton, NJ.~" School Library Journal
