Author Bio

Angela has a fantastic imagination with a great sense of humour. Her first book The Jelly That Wouldnt Wobble was one of those rare gems of a submission which made our editor, Kim, laugh out loud. Angela has played an important part in the Maverick team and with over 40,000 copies printed, Jelly has to be one of Mavericks bestsellers. Author of: The Jelly That Wouldnt Wobble and The Bunny That Couldnt Be Found Sarah Horne learnt to draw whilst trying to explain her reasoning for an elaborate haircut at the age of nine. An illustrator for over fifteen years, she started her Illustration career working freelance for newspapers such as The Guardian, The Independent On Sunday and Print Week. She also worked on occasional commissions for advertising clients such as Nike, T-Mobile and IKEA. Sarah has worked with Hodder, Stripes, Bloomsbury, Pan Macmillan and Egmont as well as Maverick. She loves to include funny detail and extra visual narratives in her work. She works traditionally with a dip pen and Indian ink, and finishes the work digitally. Illustrator of: The Jelly that Couldn't Wobble and The Bunny That Couldn't Be Found
