Author Bio

Catherine DePino is assistant professor of education at Temple University. She has written several books for teachers and children, including books on grammar and spelling instruction for J. Weston Walch and Pieces of Learning. A former high school English teacher from the Philadelphia Public Schools, she is also a student teacher supervisor for Temple. This book comes out of her experience with student teachers who are often not prepared to teach grammar to elementary students.
