Description

The Talk-About-Books series is designed to enhance a baby or toddlers first collection of books. MY PET explores the fun and responsibilities of having a pet. Pets are loving and playful and just fun to be with. but having a pet also means taking good care of it: food and water, lots of exercise, and a clean place to sleep. And dont forget a trip to the vet to keep your pet healthy! Each book is illustrated with realistic and comforting photographs. Children from various familial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds experience friends in their many wonderful forms. The simple text and engaging photos invite and encourage discussion between adult and child as they have fun exploring the images together.

Reviews

As the series title indicates, the supplied text is only the conversation starter. What the parent/adult and child do with the contents of the photographs after the first "reading" is up to them, but the photos' contents do provide ample opportunity for "taking-about." Highly Recommended.--Dave Jenkinson"Canadian Materials" (10/17/2003)
