Description

This is a story about a 4th grader, Maya, who, like many school children in 2020, found herself stuck at home attending school via video chat as the world shut down during the Covid-19 pandemic. She and her family wonder when she can go back to school, when she can play with her friends again, and when things will return to NORMAL! Through her story, the reader will learn about the mechanism of the currently available Covid-19 vaccine, and how it is our best shot at ending the pandemic.

The book is well-suited for upper elementary school readers to learn more about the SARS-CoV-2 virus in a story-based format.

Author Bio

Lily is a high school sophomore at The Winsor School in Boston, Massachusetts. She loves science and math. In her spare time, she enjoys soccer, squash, baking, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends and family. She wrote this book to answer the questions her younger twin siblings have been asking,
and to spread information about the COVID-19 vaccines
