Donna Mullaney is currently Supervisor of English Language Arts, K5, in Plainfield, New Jersey. She helped to create a curriculum in her district that aligned to the Common Core State Standards and has facilitated workshops on standards-based instruction and PARCC. Additionally, she worked as a literacy coach for the NJDOE, where she presented literacy workshops throughout the state, coached teachers, and supported best practices in literacy. After leaving the NJDOE, she continued to work as a literacy coach in Plainfield. Donna served as an interventionist for her district before becoming a supervisor. She began her career in Philadelphia, where she taught both primary and upper elementary grades. She is passionate about literacy and considers herself a lifelong learner. She currently resides in East Brunswick with her husband, Robert, and her Jack Russell Terrier, Penny. Her two daughters, Taryn and Kelly, also share her love of literature!
