Alexander B. Murphy is past president of the AAG and a member of the geography faculty at the University of Oregon, where he long held the James F. and Shirley K. Rippey Chair in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is also a member of the Academia Europaea.



Terry G. Jordan-Bychkov (19382003) was Walter Prescott Webb Professor of History and Ideas in the Department of Geography at the University of Texas, Austin.
