Lyle Brotherton is a member of a Scottish mountain rescue team and both lectures and instructs 'Advanced SAR Navigation' to Mountain Rescue and Search & Rescue teams, plus the Special Forces. He also advises the UK & US Governments on navigational strategy in Emergency Management Planning and works with international governments post major disasters, such as the floods in Pakistan, 2010.
