Current environmental policy in the United States sn't structured well to address today's environmental challenges: maintaining the commitment to a clean environment, developing new strategies for attacking unsolved problems, and addressing the economic and political problems left in the wake of the first generation of environmental regulation. Those are the central issues of this book.
