Description

Nebraska's entrepreneurs play a vital role in the state's economy. This book investigates that role and analyzes the business and economic conditions that affect start-ups in both the short and long run. Using Gallup's extensive survey findings, it reveals the attitudes of small business owners and the general public about topics such as starting a business, entrepreneurship education, economic development, and business transition and succession. Research into business conditions and attitudes in different regions of Nebraska provides an in-depth understanding of the climate for entrepreneurship. In its final chapter, the book describes what actions can be taken to maintain the state's dynamic economy to foster further growth, additional job creation, and expanded wealth and philanthropy. Through its scope and comprehensive analysis,Entrepreneurship in Nebraskaprovides a model that any statecan use to advance its own economic climate.
