RUTH A. PAGELL is director of Business Information Services, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. From 1981 through 1993, she was at the Lippincott Library, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, serving the last five years as associate director. She has also been an adjunct associate professor at Drexel College of Information Studies, teaching the course in business resources. In 1989, she was an ALA/USIA Fellow, serving in Bangkok, Thailand. She holds an MBA and an MS in library science from Drexel University. Ms. Pagell writes and speaks extensively, both in the United States and internationally, on subjects such as international business information, online and CD-ROM databases, and management and evaluation of information technologies. MICHAEL HALPERIN is the director of the Lippincott Library of the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). He holds an MBA and an MS in library science from Drexel University as well as a PhD in information studies. Dr. Halperin is a frequent contributor to Database and Online magazines. He is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Online magazine. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Drexel University's College of Information Studies.
